The Paradise Orchestra on the night of the Burn. We happened upon these nice folks way out in the playa's darkness, with no-one around. Their etherial and enchanting music was filtered through computers, from sources of soprano sax (and other reeds) by Will Kleiner in the shadows at left, his wife Kelly Kleiner doing spoken word in the back at right, a computer (Brian Walker standing), and various types of input from the woman seated, who was a guest; she wrote the filtering software. They'd all been playing together since college. During the day these musicians ran a snowcone camp just down from HeebeeGeebee Healers (where other friends of ours camped). For most it was their first burn. In conversation they invited us to come by and pick up copies of their CD, which we did. We love it!

Where are these photos from?: These are photos I took at Burning Man 2005, in the Black Rock Desert, NV.
