SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MULTIPLE IMAGES

This friendly fellow, Jim, was selling tickets for the bus to and from the nearest towns to Burning Man (Gerlach and Empire, NV). It turned out we knew some folks in common, Lloyd and Arlene Stauning, who Twist and I ever so briefly bumped into on the playa last year as they took our photo. The Stauning's gave us a pen with their email printed thereon, and when I emailed them they ended up sending us a CD of their photos. When Jim mentioned he was camped next to a wooden posable replica of The Man, I recalled that was the Stauning's landmark. What a small world, full of coincidences. Later, Lloyd and Arlene came by just as a rather severe dust storm began to blow, so the visit was short-lived. Too bad, and we never got back over to their neck of the woods.

Here's what it looked like in Empire:

Where are these photos from?: These are photos I (mostly) took at Burning Man 2006, in the Black Rock Desert, NV.
